    Reynoso writes about half of the Secretions’ songs, including a love ballad for a zombie girl. The Secretions’ sound is similar to that of Reynoso’s inspiration, the Ramones. Reynoso says, only half-jokingly, that he sees himself retired from public teaching at age 70, still with the Secretions, wearing a blue powder suit and playing at a Vegas lounge. And after retiring he says he wants to move on to teaching in the prison system. “I’m not trying to make a political statement,” he says of teaching. “I make people think for a living.”      LAURA WINN
