Business Magazine Celebrates 24th Edition by Announcing Ambitious Expansion Plans

Strategic, Structural and Managerial Changes Implemented

Sacramento, CA, October 2, 2006 …..Sacramento’s stylish business magazine and website celebrated a major milestone in September when it published its 24th issue. Prosper Publications’ founder, Warren Smith and Managing General Partner Michael Teel, announced a series of strategic improvements designed to enhance the magazine and position the Company as a national media organization. Prosper will strengthen the Company’s senior leadership team, launch a comprehensive plan for the development of Prosper’s Web-based intellectual properties and prepare for the infusion of new investment capital that will enable the Company to execute its long-range vision.

“The launch of Prosper Magazine two years ago has afforded us great insight into the region’s business community. The successes we’ve enjoyed at the magazine have helped shape our vision for expanding Prosper’s unique position as the preeminent local business publication and website,” said Smith. “Now that we have a more thorough understanding of the interests and needs of Sacramento’s business community, we can turn our attention to improving the product for our readers and advertisers. Our very successful print edition, which we will continue to emphasize, is only the first aspect of an integrated media and content delivery strategy we hope to introduce to other cities as Prosper Media,” Smith added.

“Our Sacramento success story and our lively business blogs on www.prospermag.com have given us encouragement to continue to improve upon the platform we’ve created for a vibrant, localized business community that is interacting on Prosper’s website. The future is here and Prosper Media will be a big part of it,” said Teel. Smith and Teel also announced the departures of Prosper Editor Carol Chamberlain and Chief Operations Officer David Brown. “David and Carol were there with us at the inception of Prosper Magazine and have made numerous contributions to helping build the Company. We want to thank them for their efforts as we forge ahead into new dimensions of the media world,” Smith said.

The Company expects to announce additional promotions, reassignments and new hires as Prosper Publications morphs into Prosper Media.

Effective immediately, David Smith, (no relation to Warren Smith), will assume the role of General Manager in addition to his current position as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Smith joined Prosper Publications as the vice president of sales and marketing this spring and has more than doubled advertising revenues by building a successful sales organization. He has been instrumental in formulating the future vision for Prosper and its expansion into a full scale media company.

“With the verification of our BPA Audit circulation this year and our growing online community, Prosper has a significant value proposition to attract top tier advertisers locally and nationally, said David Smith.
