Big Love From SunMy name is Becky Watts. I am the daughter of Mayor Barbara Gibson from Sun, La. I was in awe when I read the article Neil Michel wrote about our little town (“A Day of Giving in the New ‘Ground Zero,’ ” November 2005).
Words can not express how grateful we are for the help we received from private organizations. The feeling of being so destitute and doing all you can do for the people of your community knowing all resources are running out is a very scary feeling, one that has not yet left our hearts and minds.
I wish we could get the message to those people who did help how grateful we are and how their care made the real difference. It seems we are just now beginning to think almost straight. Thanks to all. We love you!
