     According to Taber, so much lore has grown around the now-famous wine tasting he felt compelled to set the record straight and recount as meticulously as possible what did and didn’t happen that day. Those sections of the book are, frankly, the least interesting, the parts where he shows a reporter’s sense of accuracy more than a novelist’s sense of story.
     Still, it’s a good and interesting read, especially for winelovers. For those who want to pair the book with a wine tasting, here are the California wineries that took Paris by storm:
