If you’re one of the lucky ones, you may have to pick up your board and entertain clients in the Sierra or tote your skis and your business team to the East Coast for that national conference. Will you have what it takes to meet that terrain, or will your gear tell a different story?
This season, technology-driven snowboarding and downhill skiing have reached a zenith with more finely tuned products than ever. You can choose from more than 2,000 styles, and manufacturers have specifically designed products to give women a more custom fit. All this technology comes at a considerable price. So, read up before you ride.
What’s Your Terrain?
You may live in the West but find yourself working, skiing or boarding more in the East or, possibly, the Alps. You don’t have to sweat the difference or be a slave to the latest style. If you don’t want to invest in more than one pair of skis or several boards, you now have versatility on your side. Many new products work well in powder and also promote turns on packed or groomed snow. With so much technology to absorb, Prosper went to well-established shops on each coast, both in former Olympic headquarters, to get sorted.
