I found myself sequestered with administrative duties, paperwork and emails. I was only physically calling
on my long-term customers when the
situation demanded an in-person visit — usually to administer damage control.
Recently, due to production and
shipping issues beyond my control, I encountered customers with extremely high levels of frustration. With me as the emissary trying to explain complex computer-driven production issues, (I am a computer layman), I had become the person to take the heat — and the blame.
