Everyone knows the annual tradition of pledging at the beginning of the year to do better. This year, start the New Year with a separate short list of sales-related resolutions to help your business prosper in 2005.
Touch It Once
Work smart. Whenever possible, touch it once: Whether “it” is junk mail, a valuable lead, an important contract or even an email, touch it one time only. Throw it away, act on it, follow up, file it, respond via email or discard. It is liberating to act or throw it away and move on.
Keep your physical workplace clean. First, clean your office. Then set aside the last 30 minutes of every day to clean your desk and the last two hours on Friday to finish small tasks.
