Roseville’s El Azteca

Authentic Mexican Food
Draws Crowds

Ask Mexican foodaficionados about Roseville’s El Azteca Taqueria and sooner or later they all say the same thing: “There are lines out the door every night.”
    What draws the masses to the eatery where owners Polly Mora and her brother, Israel Luna, serve up some 1,000 meals a day?
    It isn’t the location — in the Brick yard Shopping Center on Foothills Boulevard — where it’s flanked by a drug store and a hair salon. Nor is it the view, which is nothing more than an asphalt parking lot.
    And it certainly isn’t the opportunity to sip a designer cocktail in the lounge before dinner; the bar features just 10 cozy stools and a wine-and beer-only menu.
