‘Muscle Cars,’ an Investment
Measured by Miles per Dollar

One philosophy is to invest in what you like — companies, products, services — but what if your preference is a combination of hormones and horsepower?
    Baby boomers and even Gen-Xers are finding the answer in collector-class and fully restored “muscle” cars they drove in the 1960s and ‘70s, the ones with the big-block V8 engines and 300-plus hp.
    Some are truly collectibles, rarely driven or only garaged and trailered, their wheels never touching the ground as they’re towed from show to concours d’elegance. Others are mean street machines that rev memories.
