Look Sharp in the City

From home, to theoffice, to lunch or a night out, this season’s lightweight clothing covers all fashion bases with easy-care fabrics, cool comfort, and lots of hot new colors for women and men.

Back to suits and jackets
Wondering what’s happening with the office-casual dress code? Say, “tah, tah” to that too-casual look that spilled over into jeans and T-shirts at work. The consensus in many businesses is that a good thing went too far, and now it’s time to pull back. Instead, the emphasis is on quality casual clothing that can be dressed up or down. Says Katia DaviesKemmler, the women’s fashion consultant at S. Benson & Co. in Sacramento, “Style is every day, not just for an occasion. Growing up in France, I learned to select good quality over quantity. Each piece means something, and you want to be seen in it often.” Davies-Kemmler also says skirts are here to stay. Those that are flirty and swish at the knee will still be popular going into winter.
